The concert was started five years ago by the Texas Chi chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity to honor member Bradley Steven Monks, a good friend stricken with lymphoma at age 9. His life-long struggle with cancer never brought him down, and we remember him now as one of the most inspirational friends we have ever known. When Bradley passed away we, his brothers in Sigma Alpha Epsilon started the concert as a means to honor his legacy and to hopefully help prevent other such tragedies.

All proceeds from the concert are donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), an organization dedicated to finding cures for blood based cancers and alleviating the suffering of people currently afflicted by them. Over the past 4 years our concert has raised over $43,000, and we are growing every year! We hope to make our largest contribution to date after this year's concert, so come help us reach our goal.

We also strive to help educate the public about blood based cancers and what they can do to help LLS find a cure.

In the end, it is for Brad that we hold this concert. It is for Brad that we pour hundreds of hours of work into this event so that we can help LLS do everything in their power to make sure that people no longer have to mourn as we do. And it is Brad’s life that we celebrate as we perform this work and do what we can to make this world a better place.
