UT DALLAS ‘ROCKS THE CAMPUS’ FOR FALLEN STUDENT

RICHARDSON, TEXAS
– The Texas Chi chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity will be hosting "Rock
the Campus for the Cure 2009", benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The concert, in its fifth
year, will take place on the Softball Field of the University of Texas at Dallas on September 12, 2009. Gates
open at 1:30 p.m.

The concert will be honoring Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity brother Brad Monks, a
student of UT Dallas who lost the battle with lymphoma in May 2005. After the loss of their fellow brother
and friend, the fraternity joined together to coordinate the first Rock the Campus concert, raising over
$6,500 for the Society. In four years the event has raised over $43,000 for the cure. Event coordinators
hope to raise even more funds in 2009 with the help of corporate sponsors, like First National Bank of
Texas, Golden Chick, Fluid Consulting, and many more.

The concert lineup includes: Fair to Midland, Bo
Cox, Sean Russell, Sidekick Mafia, Generic and five other local bands who have donated their time to the
cause. Tickets can be purchased for a $10 donation by visiting www.RockTheCampus.org. One hundred
percent of the proceeds will be donated to the North Texas chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society for blood cancer research and patient aid.
